Terms & Conditions
-
Ruby Chew will provide a Quote based on the information the client provides for the event.
-
Once the Quote is confirmed by the client, an Invoice will be issued.
-
To secure your hire items and/or event date, an Upfront Partial Payment of 50% of the total fee is required. This is due within 7 days after the Quote is confirmed.
Upfront Partial Payments are non-refundable.
-
The remaining fee is due 7 days prior to the completion of work, unless specified otherwise.
If any adjustments were made to the booking since the Upfront Partial Payment (e.g. the addition or subtraction of equipment or time), these will be reflected in the final Invoice.
-
If a booking is cancelled a week or less before it’s scheduled to be held, the full payment will still be due.
Large Scale Events - (E.g. Weddings, Corporate & Public Events) - If a Large Scale Event is canceled less than 6 weeks before it’s scheduled to be held, the full payment will still be due.
Cancellations include date changes. -
If an event is canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, the above Cancelation Policy will still apply.
Ruby Chew is happy to use Upfront Partial Payments towards an alternative booking date if an event needs to be postponed due to lockdowns, pending availability.
If current restrictions indicate potential postponement, for small scale events a minimum of 2 weeks notice applies, and for large scale events, a minimum of 6 weeks notice applies regarding confirmations.
Sudden severe lockdowns will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
The responsibility of upholding COVID-19 Government Restrictions falls upon the client, event and/or venue.
-
It is an expectation that the client and/or venue will provide adequate weather protection during the event.
Ruby reserves the right to cancel or make amendments to bookings in extreme weather conditions within reason - including heat, wind, wet weather etc. in the respect of safety for Ruby, her staff, equipment, and patrons attending. -
Ruby Chew has a minimum set time of 3 hours, unless specified otherwise, prior to an event.
In addition, Weddings are packaged into a set of up to 6 hours. Generally speaking, the bump in of equipment will occur 1.5 hours prior to the set’s commencement.
If a client chooses to cut a set short during the event, the full set time fee will still be due.
Please be in touch with Ruby to receive a bespoke quote for your upcoming event. -
Ruby Chew accepts payments by cash or electronic funds transfer. Bank account details are provided on the Invoice.
